Gamera 2 sets new unofficial human-powered helicopter flight record

Gamera 2 sets new unofficial human-powered helicopter flight record

The Gamera 2 has just entered the record books by setting a new unofficial human-powered helicopter flight record, thanks to Kyle Gluesenkamp from the A. James Clark School of Engineering's Gamera 2 team sometime at the end of June. This particular record was recently ratified by the National Aeronautic Association (NAA), and it has also been forwarded over to the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale in order to gain approval for it to be an official new world record. The new official national record stands at 49.9 seconds, so kudos to the entire crew over at the University of Maryland who were involved in this particular project.
