Ssangyong gets handsome with LIV-1 large SUV concept

Ssangyong has rolled another SUV out of the concept room and into the Seoul Motor Show called the LIV-1 – which stands for Limitless Interface Vehicle. The large four-wheel-drive machine is going into production according to Ssyangyong's CEO and will slot in between the Rodius and Rexton. It will surely be toned down from the substantial, and substantially creased, SUV previewed in South Korea with its greenhouse full of glass and slivers for pillars.

LG Optimus G To Get Off At The Next EOL Stop?

LG Optimus G To Get Off At The Next EOL Stop?

The LG Optimus G is one smartphone that had everything going for it when it was released, but somehow, in one strange way or another, did not manage to sell in large numbers. Taking things into stock four months after its release, a mere 1 million units were sold worldwide, and this has not stopped LG from working with mobile carriers to offer the LG Optimus G Pro, leaving the LG Optimus G behind, of course. Of course, we do know that the pace of consumer electronics move at a breakneck speed these days, but only four months on the market before being persuaded to have it replaced by a sequel.

Wii U Miiverse Coming To Smartphones, PC In A Few Weeks

Wii U Miiverse Coming To Smartphones, PC In A Few Weeks

When Miiverse was originally considered by Nintendo, the company knew it wanted to expand the service beyond just the Wii U onto mobile devices and PC. We know Nintendo plans to roll out their update making this theory a reality this spring, and during a Miiverse panel at this week's Game Developer's Conference, Nintendo finally revealed some details on when we could expect it. Nintendo's Miiverse producer Kiyoshi Mizuki announced its app will be made available in just a few weeks to be released in either April or May on both smartphones and PC.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z Seems To Have Been Delayed To May

Sony Xperia Tablet Z Seems To Have Been Delayed To May

The other day we reported that the Sony Xperia Tablet Z was up for pre-order and is expected to make its way into the hands of customers come April. Unfortunately it seems that Sony might not be able to make that April release date after all. According to the Sony UK website, placing a pre-order for the Xperia Tablet Z no longer shows an April shipping date. Instead it has been changed to May, meaning that customers will probably have to wait a couple of weeks more before they are able to enjoy the device. It seems that this delay has extended beyond Sony's online shop to third party retailers who are reporting the same thing.

Cyro Jellyfish Robot

Cyro Jellyfish Robot

Just what is the biggest jellyfish that you have ever come across whenever you are at the seaside, or traveling on a boat over a body of seawater. Well, most of these tend to be small, and the general rule of thumb is this – the smaller they are, the more poisonous it is. Should you come across this five-and-a-half-foot robot jellyfish, surely you would be astonished, and trust the military to be among the first few folks to come up with a use for it – to perform Navy underwater surveillance down the road, of course.

2014 Honda Odyssey sucks it up for our editor

When we heard that the 2014 Honda Odyssey would be getting the world's first in-car vacuum, we had to check this thing out for ourselves. Called HondaVAC, this tidy little sucker was co-developed with Shop-Vac, and it's actually pretty neat. It comes standard on Odyssey's top-trim Touring Elite model and can be fitted with a wide range of attachments all housed in the cargo area. Honda notes that the vacuum hose is long enough to reach surfaces in every part of the Odyssey's cabin, and that it will even run for a full eight minutes after the vehicle is turned off.

Windows Phones Usurped iPhones In The Following Countries...

Remember earlier this morning when we brought you word that Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system actually outsold the likes of the iPhone and BlackBerry in select markets. Well, back then, the list of countries were not available for the masses to check out, but things do not remain a secret for too long on the Internet, and here we are with the juicy list where Windows Phones outship iPhones. Thanks to the folks over at The New York Times, they managed to pester the good people at the IDC in order to reveal the list, and the countries would be Argentina, India, Poland, Russia, South Africa, and Ukraine.

Robot Arm Breaks Off In Patient During Surgery

Robot Arm Breaks Off In Patient During Surgery

Getting a robot to perform surgery on you might sound like a good idea, especially when you have the kind of medical technology at your disposal, such as the one seen in the movie Prometheus. Well, that works only when everything in said robot works well, coupled with fantastic artificial intelligence to assess the medical situation and perform all of the right moves. Robotic arms lack the nerves that might happen to some surgeons, but there is a risk of it breaking down halfway.

Internet Slows Down After History's Biggest Cyber Attack

Internet Slows Down After History's Biggest Cyber Attack

Is it possible to experience a "traffic jam" on the anecdotal information superhighway. The simple answer, yes. I noticed it around 9 hours ago, but did not give too much thought into it, thinking that my local ISP's underwater cable somewhere is experiencing issues as normal, but it seems that there is more than meets the eye. The Internet has apparently slowed down due to what security experts have deemed to be the biggest cyber-attack ever experienced in the short history of the Internet.

Most folks these days carry some kind of device with them that has at least a subset of their music collection on it. Some have services like Spotify, Pandora, or some other service that will deliver music to a smartphone. When we get in our cars, however, there's usually no built-in connection for getting the phone and car radio connected. Enter the iTrip Auto from Griffin Technology. This little cable charges an iOS device via your vehicle's power port and broadcasts the audio content of your device to the FM band, allowing you to tune into the "station" it creates and hear your music over your car stereo.

2015 Volvo XC90 mule spotted testing in the snow

The Volvo XC90 was a big step for the Swedish automaker in 2003, but the midsize crossover has changed very little since its introduction. All that's about to change as Volvo starts its initial development on the 2015 XC90, which we see for the first time in these spy shots showing a cobbled-together XC70. Like the current XC90, the next-generation model will be both longer and wider than the XC70 – judging by the modifications made to this mule's body – which will continue to allow Volvo's flagship crossover and provide three rows of seating.

Jesse Pinkman's 1984 Toyota Tercel from Breaking Bad for sale

The TV show Breaking Bad has broken out to become one of the small screen's best offerings in years. Don't worry if you haven't watched it yet; I'm only up to season 3 on Netflix, so the chances of me spoiling much for you are low. What I do know from watching the show is that crappy cars play a key role, from Walter's jalopy of an Aztek to the car you see above, Jesse Pinkman's 1984 Toyota Tercel. Both cars are as run down as their owners and do nothing to hide the brutal weathering of some very bad years.

XOLO X1000 Comes With 2GHz Intel Processor

Do you think that the smartphone industry has more or less arrived at a plateau of sorts where hardware specifications are concerned. I mean, the screen would not really grow larger than 6" or even 6.5", otherwise it would enter into tablet territory, and neither would it do much good to have anything more than Full HD resolution on such a small display, or is there. Other improvements that can be made now would only comprise of a faster processor and more memory, and this could very well be what XOLO is gunning for, with what they claim to be the "fastest smartphone" that comes with the now famous Intel Inside logo.

Mercedes releases 6x6 G63 AMG specs and pics (video)

Mercedes-Benz has finally dropped full details on its insane G63 AMG 6x6. The machine puts 544 horsepower to all six wheels thanks to a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8. A seven-speed gearbox shuttles power to the ground via three sets of portal axles, which helps give this machine a full 15.75 inches of ground clearance. By comparison, the standard G63 AMG sits with just 8.27 inches of ground clearance. The extra lift allows this 6x6 to ford nearly 40 inches of water and run massive 37-inch tires.

Made from polypropene block copolymer, the backpack measures 19.7 X 12.6 X 7.9 inches and weighs 2.535 lbs. The main compartment is big enough to hold up to a 15.6 inch notebook computer. The backpack also has a cell phone compartment inside of the main compartment that will fit most cell phones.
