Samsung Galaxy Beam Smartphone

Samsung Galaxy Beam Smartphone

With many smartphone options available for people today, it can be hard for makers to come up with new ones that would appeal to more and more people. That is why some smartphone makers have now started to target those niche markets for the different smartphones that they can come up this time. And for the new Samsung Galaxy Beam Smartphone, this market may be that of the business professional. The Samsung Galaxy Beam may look just like any other smartphones in the market today- smart design, slim and full of features.  But one feature that may not be found in many other smartphones its size may be a LED projector.

Aston Martin unleashes new Vantage GTE on WEC, Le Mans (video)

Few outfits have benefited from the kind of success that Aston Martin Racing has enjoyed. The team has emerged as an absolutely dominant force in the numerous GT classes of endurance racing around the world. But Aston's success arguably went to its head a little, prompting AMR to abandon its GT racing program to privateers as the team itself attempted to step up to the top-tier LMP1 class with the AMR-One. That ended up a fool's errand that yielded none of the success to which the Prodrive squadron had become accustomed.

Audi unleashes hybrid, AWD powertrain on Le Mans with new R18 e-tron Quattro

When we hear names like TFSI and Quattro, we automatically think of Audi. But while these technologies have proliferated across the company's production model range, they weren't initially developed for the road – they were developed for racing. So sit up straight and pay attention to Audi's cutting edge new Le Mans prototype, because it's jam-packed with new technologies that will likely end up in showrooms sooner or later. Called the R18 e-tron Quattro, the LMP1 you see here doesn't just continue Audi's tradition of turbo diesel propulsion in endurance racing, it supplements it with hybrid propulsion and all-wheel drive.

There's a new virus inside the Android Market but before you run off to alert Google Bouncer, this is a virus you'll actually want on your device. Central Core Studios has recently become my go-to-developers for gorgeous looking live wallpapers on my Android device, and where last time, they showed us far off planets and sci-fi worlds — this time, they're taking things a little closer to home (inside our own bodies, close) with RadiantWalls HD: Zombie Virus live wallpapers. “Central Core Labs” has finally given us the opportunity to see through a microscope, and observe a zombie virus as it infects the human body.

Diff Case for iPhone has many uses

Diff Case for iPhone has many uses

iPhone cases come in different shapes and sizes, and given the number of things we can do on our phone, one size certainly does not fit all. If you are in the market for a multipurpose case, then perhaps the Diff Case could be the case that you are looking for, because based on its design and intended function, it certainly is different (pun intended!) from the rest of the pack. First of, the case will come with a privacy cover and a sun shade, which when closed will act as a screen protector to help prevent scratches to your iPhone's screen.

Ion Ergonomic Air Mouse Glove

Ion Ergonomic Air Mouse Glove

Now here is one unique mouse design if you are looking for something that is very different from the norm – the Ion Ergonomic Air Mouse Glove. Meant to replace the mouse, I do not think that it will be the next big thing on your desks though, simply because the design will take some getting used to, and it can be quite hard to change something that has worked so well all this while. You know the saying of not fixing something that isn't broken, or reinventing the wheel. There is definitely a learning curve attached to the Ion Ergonomic Air Mouse Glove, but it should become second nature to you after a while.

The Cyber-shot family just keeps growing and growing, with its latest litter focused on keeping slim and staying active. The quartet's most rugged machine, the $330 16.2 megapixel DSC-TX20, promises to be tough as nails by tolerating water up to 16 feet under, bouncing back from five foot falls and braving freezing tundras as cold as 14 degrees Fahrenheit. The $350 DSC-TX66, on the other hand, forgoes the armor in favor of a 18.2 megapixel sensor, a 3.3-inch “Xtra Fine” OLED touch screen and 1920 x 1080 video recording.

LG shows off the first voice to video conversion over LTE at MWC 2012

[MWC 2012] Today at the Mobile World Congress, LG demonstrated the world's first voice-to-video conversion over a LTE network. The demonstration used LG's proprietary technology which allows users to switch back and forth between high quality voice and high resolution video call modes during an ongoing conversation. Remember the days of hanging up your voice call just so you can make another call in video mode. Well, with LG's voice-to-video conversion technology, those days are over.

Sprint reveals it spent $15.5 billion to fuel its iPhone hunger

Sprint's SEC filings have revealed that the carrier has committed to purchasing $15.5 billion worth of iPhones as part of the long-promised $20 billion gamble. If each handset costs around $630 at trade, then we're talking about the network holding nearly 24 million units. Given that the company most recently ate a loss of $1.3 billion, most of which was caused by carrier subsidies for the 4S, there's a genuine fear that the company won't be able to make enough back on each customer to offset the initial outlay.

New Apple TV may launch in March alongside iPad 3 (no, not that Apple TV)

. Apple reportedly plans to launch a new Apple TV next month that will feature a faster processor along with other enhancements. Apple watcher 9to5Mac on Tuesday reported that the Cupertino, California-based technology giant plans to refresh its Apple TV offering in March alongside the iPad 3. To be clear, this is not the HDTV Apple is rumored to be working on, but rather the somewhat popular iOS-powered set-top box. 9to5Mac's source says the new Apple TV will be powered by a faster dual-core processor, perhaps the “Apple A5x” that has been rumored recently, and it will feature better video playback performance as well.

MWC 2012: Hands-on with the HTC One V

Yesterday we brought you hands-on images and videos with two of HTC's three new One series Android smartphones. The third one that was announced on Sunday, the One V (which incidentally is also the most affordable of the bunch) though was nowhere to be found at HTC's booth here at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. So today we went digging, and we found an HTC One V floating around. Unfortunately it wasn't a working unit, so it's not turned on and we couldn't demo the software. Thus there was no point for a video, but we did take plenty of pictures.

Verizon let it be known today that the "world's thinnest 4G LTE tablet" will be hitting its network on March 1st. Such superlatives don't come cheap, however - Samsung's 7.7-inch Honeycomb slate is going to run you $499.99 plus a two-year contract. Loving gadgets can be an expensive hobby. While everyone might want a smartphone, a tablet, and a laptop, not everyone can afford all three. And if you're going to buy all 3, why settle for anything but a seamless experience. The ASUS Padfone is my clear favorite for the best gadget of MWC 2012. It's a fantastic concept that will save consumers money, offer greater seamlessness between devices, and the concept is executed beautifully.

Regardless of whether you're using the phone, the tablet, or the laptop, it's the guts of the phone (Qualcomm MSM8260A Snapdragon S4 Krait dual-core 1.5GHz processor) that powers everything.

Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G for T-Mobile Hands-on [MWC 2012]

Tucked away inside one of the side events here at Mobile World Congress was T-Mobile's Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G. While the device has already been announced, we haven't had a chance to play with it for ourselves until today. It's a nice little mid-range offering that should be perfect for those who want to ease into the smartphone game. The device is thin and light, and unlike a lot of other mid-range phones (Samsung included) it actually looks very good aesthetically. The device's backplate has a premium-feeling mesh finish which transitions into a nice glossy exterior near the top.
