Samsung Uploads New “Day In The Life” With The Galaxy S3 Video – Stepford Family Included

Samsung has just uploaded a new video to their YouTube channel simply titled, “Samsung Galaxy S III – A Day In The Life.” The video shows off a simple day (with probably the happiest, most beautifully creepy family I’ve ever seen in my life) made perfect thanks to the only phone on this planet “designed for humans.” Okay, seriously. I’ve never been that happy in my life. Ever. But I want to be. Guess I just need a Samsung Galaxy S3 in my home.

Nothing new we haven’t seen before, but you guys can send this to your friends and family who are maybe on the fence on their next phone purchase.

Archive of Jobs videos makes iTunes go all things Steve

The mark that Steve Jobs left on the industry is a deep one, indeed. But aside from regular product announcements, we didn't see all that much of the Apple founder. Jobs's appearances at the All Things Digital conference certainly do a little to remedy the late-executive's notoriously private nature, and now you can watch them all from the comfort of your own Apple-branded media player.

Noctua set to debut prototype noise cancelling PC fan next week

The more powerful your computer setup is, the more heat it will tend to generate especially if you're packing powerful graphic cards and have a lot of processes going on. That heat needs to be cooled, thus the existence of cooling fans and liquid cooling systems. While liquid cooling systems might be a cooler solution, not everyone has the know-how or the need for such cooling systems and will resort to fans.

While we're sure that there are plenty of gamers out there who purchase original games and cartridges for their PlayStation or Nintendo handheld gaming consoles, there are probably just as many, if not more gamers who resort of illegal means. If the latter describes you, then you're probably familiar with the R4 cart for the Nintendo DS that allows users to store multiple pirated games on it. We're pretty sure that wasn't the intention of the R4 cart but ultimately it has come to this.

Some posts on social network Weibo point to an ultra-thin Android phone from ZTE in the works, codenamed Athena. The device readily beats the Motorola DROID RAZR (7.1mm) and the Huawei Ascend P1 S (6.7mm), having a profile of just 6.2mm. You'll also notice the Kevlar back of the Athena that is visible in one of the leaked photos. The ZTE Athena should also surpass those two in processing power with its (presumably dual-core) Cortex-A15 CPU. The phone will be running Android 4.0 ICS with a custom "Miflavor UI" skin on top.

Nikon pushes out D4, D800 firmware update, fixes lock-up issues and other bugs

It wasn't long ago that we heard about the “lock-up” woes D4 and D800 owners were experiencing on their shiny new shooters, but luckily for them, Nikon just outed a fix to take care of those issues. Aside from solving the aforementioned annoyance, the firmware update (B:1.01) also mends a problem allowing RAW files to be network-transferred while in JPEG-only mode, as well as a bug causing bits like aperture and exposure compensation to change unexpectedly when using certain custom settings.

Why the Mercedes 300SL Gullwing is so damn special, as described by an owner

Why the Mercedes 300SL Gullwing is so damn special, as described by an owner

The phrase "instant classic" gets thrown around a lot these days, and applied to all sorts of mediocre stuff, from mass produced retro muscle cars to Italian exotics that are astonishing only by virtue of price. Truth be told, you can probably count the numbers of cars that have ever been deserving of such a label on one hand (and perhaps have a finger or two left over). Certainly the Mercedes-Benz 300SL is one of the few. First introduced at the 1954 New York Auto Show and produced for only four years, the amazing "Gullwing" is as shocking a sight to behold today as it was some six decades ago.

Second-gen IOIO in the works: embraces the wireless revolution, cuts cost

Ytai Ben-Tsvi's IOIO board is quite the hit with the Android-hacking DIY crowd. But, that doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement on the $50 dev board. A second-gen version is in the works that adds the ability to connect to a computer as a USB device (not just as a host) or via Bluetooth, without the need for a intermediary controller like an Arduino. Perhaps most exciting for those interested in tinkering with DIY Android phone accessories, is the plan to cut the price of the new IOIO. How much less the next version will cost isn't clear yet, but even just $5 could make a major difference.

During their mixed city and highway loop testing, the Ford actually fared the best by returning 31 mpg overall. That's three miles per gallon better than the standard Focus SE, and represents an annual fuel cost savings of just $145.

Lenovo removable handgrip keyboards for tablets in the pipeline?

Innovation should be the lifeblood of any company, and so it makes perfect sense for organizations such as Lenovo to come up with something interesting such as this particular removable handgrip keyboard that will be attached to a tablet. Of course, while most of us are more than used to a virtual keyboard on a touchscreen display by now, there is still enough demand for a physical keyboard when it comes to tablets. Lenovo's idea in this patent application points towards a set of hand grips that allow you to clamp it onto a table in order to add in a physical keyboard.
