2014 Cadillac XTS Vsport

2014 Cadillac XTS Vsport

Not long after bombing around the Milford Road Course in the new CTS Vsport, Cadillac invited me to try out its other new-for-2014 Vsport model: the XTS. And despite using the same twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 from the CTS, the Vsport package takes on a whole new meaning here in Cadillac's softer flagship. In the CTS, this trim perfectly bridges the gap between the standard models and the hardcore CTS-V, and is focused on being the best-driving version of the range without a standalone V badge. The XTS, however, has no proper V model, so the Vsport becomes the new range-topper for that line by default.

LG G Pro Lite Dual to have stylus, lower-end screen and chipset

The LG G Pro Lite Dual is back with a brand new leak and while last time we wondered why it was called "Lite," now we wonder why it's called "Pro." There's also a curious change – the phablet will have a stylus that can be sheathed into the device's body, Galaxy Note style (unlike the LG Vu's, which had no slot for the stylus). The dual-SIM LG G Pro Lite Dual will reportedly have a 5.5" IPS screen like its single-SIM sibling, but that screen will only have qHD resolution (540 x 960 pixels) with half the pixel density.

CyanogenMod's cLock widget makes Google Play debut as "Chronus"

It was back in February of this year that the CyanogenMod team announced that they would be changing the name of their custom clock widget, Chronus, to that of “cLock”. This was due to the team being hit with a cease and desist letter from someone claiming to own the rights to the name. Today, the CyanogenMod developer responsible for the clock widget is announcing the triumphant return of “Chronus”, this time available to all in the Google Play Store.

It goes without saying that a lot of HTC One users are waiting for the Android 4.3 update. The update has already begun rolling out across different regions for users who have developer edition or unbranded units, in time to meet HTC's self-imposed deadline of rolling out the update before the end of September. However, those who possess U.S. carrier branded HTC One will have to wait for a bit longer, says HTC executive Jason Mackenzie.
A few weeks ago HTC said that it was working hard to roll out Android 4.3 as well as a HTC Sense update to users, it said that the roll out would be completed by the end of September.

Nissan Titan's upcoming Cummins diesel originally meant for Ram

The Cummins 5.0-liter turbocharged diesel V8 that Ram initially planned to use in its pickup trucks instead will find its way into the 2015 Nissan Titan as an option, Automobile reports. It will be the first time a non-Ram pickup truck will be available with a Cummins diesel engine. The move comes after Chrysler decided to use a 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel engine designed by VM Motori (which is partially owned by Fiat) due to fuel economy concerns with the Cummins engine. Chrysler wanted its 2014 Ram 1500 trucks to achieve at least 26 miles per gallon.

The regions affected by the price increase include countries such as Australia, Brazil, Portugal, and Malaysia. For example over in Australia and prior to the prices being increased, the Mac mini was priced at A$699 and A$899 for the standard models, while the Mac mini Server was priced at A$1,099.

Back in July, it was revealed that Nokia had a new accessory that they would be debuting in the near future called the "Treasure Tag". At that time all we had was a diagram of the device, but thanks to the ever-reliable @evleaks, a photo of the accessory has since been leaked. For those unfamiliar with the accessory, the Treasure Tag is essentially a Bluetooth/NFC tag that can be used to pair with a smartphone, such as a Nokia Lumia device for example. It will make use of Bluetooth 4.0 which will be supported in the Windows Phone GDR2 update and basically it acts as a homing beacon for object.

Just the other day Microsoft took the wraps off their new Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 tablets, but interesting enough the company did not make any mention about the possibility of a Surface Mini, a device which has been rumored for a while now but not mentioned at all by Microsoft during their presentation. It is possible that the Surface Mini could merely be a fake and a false rumor, but at the same time it could be that the device is not primed for launch yet which is why Microsoft has kept mum on the details. In any case thanks to new information obtained by CNET, some of the alleged Surface Mini specs have surfaced.

Lets face it, with the cost of medical care and health insurance rising, it is more important than ever to look after your health. The Angel health sensor, an open source health monitor seeking funding on Indiegogo, looks to change that.
