Apple Recalls Original iPod Nano; Know How to Get a Free Replacement

Apple has issued a recall for its first-gen iPod Nano, aka the Original Nano. You might want to refer to the photo so you won't be confused with the Fat Nano, the Round Nano, or the One that Turns Into a Watch. It turns out the media device has an overheating battery problem, which poses a risk of exploding as the battery ages. Only a limited number of problematic iPod Nanos are included in the recall: those that were only available between September 2005 and Januray 2006. If you have received yoru iPod Nano as a Christmas present in 2005, you might want to consider checking your device if it is covered by the recall.
