As you guys might have heard, Jay Wilson is no longer  the game director for Blizzard's Diablo 3 as he has moved on to another Blizzard project. Blizzard has since replaced him with Josh Mosqueira who has since taken to the official Diablo 3 website to share some plans that the Diablo 3 team has for the future of the game, one of which is the focus on items from the game, making them more meaningful and reducing the "impact" from the Auction House, meaning that they want gamers to feel excited about a drop, rather than just hopping on over to the AH to find their next weapon/armor upgrade.
