It will be one month away before folks living in Japan will be able to get hold of the Toshiba 55XS5 that does not come with 3D technology for your eyes to feast upon, but at the very least, it will feature a 3840 x 2160 LCD panel. There is no local dimming here, but rather, edge LED lighting will see action. I guess this is a souped down version for those who are on a tight budget and feel that 3D movie viewing is not the thing for them just yet.
