Sigma will launch the PG-31 battery grip for the Sigma SD1 digital SLR camera in January 2012. This battery grip can hold a pair of Sigma BP-21 lithium-ion batteries. Measuring 156mm x 72mm x 77mm and weighing 300 grams, the Sigma PG-31 also provides a shutter release, allowing photographers to easily shoot in portrait orientation. No word on pricing so far.
