Microsoft Research intends to empower students to network with their peers via the Microsoft So.cl site, where it is capable of letting one share useful information in a jiffy, while enabling users to build their own pages which are smart enough to collect information relevant to the topic at hand, from both inside as well as outside the classroom, to turn both the web and social networks into the new classroom. This experimental research project will target students in information and design schools at the University of Washington, Syracuse University, and New York University.
