As you guys might have heard, Apple will be opening an advanced sapphire manufacturing plant over in Mesa, Arizona where they expect to bring some production work from overseas back home. However it looks like it will be more than that because according to a new report from the Albany Times Union, they claim that Apple will also be looking to bring back chip production back to the US as well, and will be opening a $6 billion facility in upstate New York, with California-based company, GlobalFoundries, to be the one behind the operations.
