Moto G and Moto X facing delayed shipping due to weather, Motorola upgrading some orders with free overnight shipping

It's colder than a polar bear's toenails outside and that's only here in Southern Cali. For a good portion of you, winter storm Dion (and now Electra) has been barreling through the US, canceling flights, closing schools, and being just a general pain in the ass. And while you'd think only the mid-west or east coast was affected, it looks like there was enough weather in Texas to cause shipping delays for those that recently purchased a Moto X or its lower-end cousin, the Moto G, via Motorola's website.

The UK injunction won by Nokia against HTC gets suspended

HTC caught a break in its patent feud with Nokia in the UK. Slightly over a week after the initial judgment in the case, the Taiwanese manufacturer announced that it was granted a stay on the injunction against its products by the Court of Appeal in the UK. HTC will immediately resume UK shipment of its devices. The company has vowed to Â"aggressively appeal the validity decision of NokiaÂ's EP 0 998 024 patentÂ", while also pursuing alternative solutions with its chip suppliers.

HTC One mini was the first device to fall victim of NokiaÂ's court victory. The HTC One was also found to infringe on the Finnish companyÂ's patents.

Qualcomm Announces Snapdragon 410 64-Bit Chipset For $150 Devices

Apple made headlines when they announced the iPhone 5s not because of the looks of the device or its features, but rather the fact that they achieved an industry first by introducing a 64-bit chipset into a smartphone. Naturally several companies later announced their plans to hop aboard the 64-bit bandwagon as well, but it looks like coming in at second place is none other than Qualcomm, whose SVP at that time dismissed the notion of such technology.

Lexus pushing upmarket as others move down, LF-LC production hinted (video)

Jeff Bracken, Lexus' US group vice president and general manager, knows his company lost its position as America's biggest luxury brand back in 2011, and it's a mantle that his employer probably won't be getting back any time soon. That's because Lexus is electing not to follow the luxury segment's downmarket trend any more than its $32,500 CT 200h hybrid hatchback. "Since we won't be going down above $30,000, it will be very difficult for us to ever regain luxury leadership," Bracken admitted on Autoline After Hours late last week.

Zepp 3D Motion Sensor Lets You Analyze Your Baseball, Golf Or Tennis Swing

The swing is an important part of many sports, ask any golfer and they'll tell you its as much about having a perfect swing as it is about making proper contact with the ball without digging too much into the fairway. Baseball or tennis players rely on their swing too, which is why dedicated players keep on training and practising. Zepp Labs has created a nifty little device that will help players in their pursuit of a perfect swing. The Zepp 3D motion sensor is a tiny sensor that can be attached using specific mounts to baseball bats, golf clubs and tennis rackets.

Did KitKat India cheat Indian contestants out of a 2013 Nexus 7?

An interesting story brewed over this past weekend, with one group of Android and KitKat-loving customers apparently getting the shaft in a contest that they believed could net them a 2013 Nexus 7. We're talking about our friends in India, who were treated to the same Nexus 7 contest that folks in the likes of the United States, Canada and across Europe were. Unfortunately, it appears the contests weren't as similar as we originally thought.

Germany may charge foreigners an Autobahn toll

Germany may charge foreigners an Autobahn toll

Raising taxes in any democratic country is tricky business, but there are certain groups on which it's easier to raise taxes than others. Smokers, for example, have a hard time making an argument against raising taxes on cigarettes. As far as the working class is concerned, raising taxes on the rich is a no-brainer. And in Germany, they may find it easiest to levy taxes against non-Germans.
The issue in question revolves around placing a toll on the Autobahn, but one that would only apply to foreign citizens driving in Germany. And make no mistake about it, there are a lot of them.

Cellular Retina iPad Mini Supply Still Appears To Be Tight

The supply issues that Apple has had to face with the new Retina iPad mini have been well documented over the past few weeks. It was said that LCD burn-in issues with the Retina display panels were causing delay in shipments, which resulted in a gap in the demand and supply of Apple's latest tablet. Recently it was reported that various production bottlenecks have been taken care of, and while an improvement has been seen in the shipment times of Wi-Fi only Retina iPad mini models, it appears that the cellular variants are still playing hard to get. Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton once offered to give his father and former manager, Anthony, a cash gift of up to $4 million after the father-son pair split in 2010. But in a court hearing, he said he never was paid by his son nor accepted cash gifts from him, The Telegraph reports. The court hearing was part of a lawsuit claiming wrongful termination and loss of earnings filed by A. Hamilton against Paul Di Resta, an F1 driver he managed until he was sacked in 2012.

Amazon announced their latest Kindle Fire tablets, the Kindle Fire HDX, earlier this fall as two separate devices running on either a 7-inch display or a slightly larger 8.9-inch display. One of the main selling points of the Kindle Fire HDX is its exclusive HDX display, which offers a 323PPI on the 7-inch model and 339PPI on the 8.9-inch model. As you probably could tell, we'll be taking a look at the 8.9-inch version of the Kindle Fire HDX in our review, which has many of the same internal specs as its smaller 7-inch sibling does.

We're right in the middle of the holiday season, which means you've probably stood in line for much longer than you would have liked in order to purchase a holiday-related gift. Considering how terrible the experience of standing in line is, we're not entirely sure why someone would create a "game" based on it, but that's exactly what "Waiting in Line 3D" is. The game is pretty simple: you wait in line. That's pretty much it. The controls for the game allows you to look slightly to the left, slightly to the right, attempt to move forward and look behind you.

Rumors of Charles' possible intentions emerged after he reportedly indicated that he wanted to "stay involved in the car industry". Several months typically pass between when the FIA releases the provisional calendar for the next year's Formula One World Championship and when it releases the final version. The gap is usually bridged by a fair share of back-and-forth speculation over which races will make the cut, but this year's has looked even more feverish than usual from where we sit, principally for one reason: namely, that the provisional calendar included a new race in New Jersey. After much speculation, the FIA has released the final calendar for the 2014 Formula One World Championship (along with a number of other series it sanctions).
