The Cyber-shot family just keeps growing and growing, with its latest litter focused on keeping slim and staying active. The quartet's most rugged machine, the $330 16.2 megapixel DSC-TX20, promises to be tough as nails by tolerating water up to 16 feet under, bouncing back from five foot falls and braving freezing tundras as cold as 14 degrees Fahrenheit. Sprint reveals it spent $15.5 billion to fuel its iPhone hunger

Sprint's SEC filings have revealed that the carrier has committed to purchasing $15.5 billion worth of iPhones as part of the long-promised $20 billion gamble. If each handset costs around $630 at trade, then we're talking about the network holding nearly 24 million units. Given that the company most recently ate a loss of $1.3 billion, most of which was caused by carrier subsidies for the 4S, there's a genuine fear that the company won't be able to make enough back on each customer to offset the initial outlay.

Last year, Samsung announced ChatON, a cross-platform messaging app. It launched for Android in October, and even made its way onto iOS in January, but it looks like Samsung has even bigger plans for ChatON and has since launched a web version of the messaging service, and it is expected to work for feature phones and computers alike.

A couple of weeks ago, we shared sketches of the KH concept sedan by Kia (also called the K9 in some circles), but if you're friends with the South Korean automaker on Facebook, you got first access to images of their flagship sedan. As we reported before, Soon-Nam Lee, the company's overseas marketing director, says the car will go on sale in South Korea in the first half of this year and then in most major markets soon thereafter.

New Apple TV may launch in March alongside iPad 3 (no, not that Apple TV)

. Apple reportedly plans to launch a new Apple TV next month that will feature a faster processor along with other enhancements. Apple watcher 9to5Mac on Tuesday reported that the Cupertino, California-based technology giant plans to refresh its Apple TV offering in March alongside the iPad 3. To be clear, this is not the HDTV Apple is rumored to be working on, but rather the somewhat popular iOS-powered set-top box. 9to5Mac's source says the new Apple TV will be powered by a faster dual-core processor, perhaps the “Apple A5x” that has been rumored recently, and it will feature better video playback performance as well.

MWC 2012: Hands-on with the HTC One V

Yesterday we brought you hands-on images and videos with two of HTC's three new One series Android smartphones. The third one that was announced on Sunday, the One V (which incidentally is also the most affordable of the bunch) though was nowhere to be found at HTC's booth here at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. So today we went digging, and we found an HTC One V floating around. Unfortunately it wasn't a working unit, so it's not turned on and we couldn't demo the software. Thus there was no point for a video, but we did take plenty of pictures.

Sierra Wireless just announced a new 76xS range of AirCard mobile hotspots. Thanks to expanded frequency band support (LTE 1800x2100x2600 MHz, HSPA+ 850x900x2100 MHz and 800x900x2100), the new cards will be compatible with more international markets, and are set to launch in the US, Australia, Asia and Europe over the coming months. There's support for up to ten WiFi devices, and a 2,000 mAh battery - which Sierra claims brings a 30 percent boost in life - upgradeable to an even juicier 3,600 mAh option via an additional accessory purchase.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 hitting Verizon on March 1st for $500 on contract

The Galaxy Note 10.1 may be the flavor of the week at Mobile World Congress, but those waiting to get their hands on the well-reviewed (and considerably smaller) Galaxy Tab 7.7 on contract here in the States will get their wish in the very near future. Verizon let it be known today that the "world's thinnest 4G LTE tablet" will be hitting its network on March 1st. Such superlatives don't come cheap, however - Samsung's 7.7-inch Honeycomb slate is going to run you $499.99 plus a two-year contract. ZTE Era, the Nvidia Tegra 3 Phone from ZTE

So ZTE has as much as 8 devices to announce in MWC 2012 but before we go onto that, let's take a look at the most interesting device in their list - the ZTE Era, a NVIDIA Tegra 3 4-PLUS-1 quad-core smartphone. The ZTE Era packs a 1.5GHz Tegra 3 processor under its 4.3" TFT qHD display and runs on Android 4.0. With 8GB of internal storage on board that is expandable via microSD slot, ZTE Era also packs 1GB of RAM and HSPA+ connectivity under the hood. Camera wise, it comes with an 8MP camera at the back which has not really been emphasized on by many tech sites that have managed to get a hand's on.

More Samsung Galaxy S III rumored specs: 4.8 inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels, LTE, 1.5GHz quad-core CPU

While Samsung still didn't say exactly when it would announce its new Galaxy S III, this should happen pretty soon - possibly on March 15, but that remains to be seen. Until then, if you're ready for another round of S III rumors, here we go:. BGR is reporting that the new Galaxy flagship will feature a 4.8 inch 1080p full HD display - hence with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution.

The Isis mobile payment service backed by AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon may have been a bit overshadowed by Google Wallet in recent months, but it's still on track for a "mid-2012" trial launch in Austin, Texas and Salt Lake City, Utah, and it's now gotten a boost from a trio of new financial partners. Chase, Capital One and Barclaycard confirmed today that they'll each support the NFC-based service and let folks load their credit, debit and prepaid cards into their Isis Mobile Wallet, joining existing partners Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G for T-Mobile Hands-on [MWC 2012]

Tucked away inside one of the side events here at Mobile World Congress was T-Mobile's Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G. While the device has already been announced, we haven't had a chance to play with it for ourselves until today. It's a nice little mid-range offering that should be perfect for those who want to ease into the smartphone game. The device is thin and light, and unlike a lot of other mid-range phones (Samsung included) it actually looks very good aesthetically. The device's backplate has a premium-feeling mesh finish which transitions into a nice glossy exterior near the top.
