If you've ever wondered what iOS would look like if the iPhone was released back in 1986 instead of 2007, you're in luck. A designer named Anton Repponen decided to give the mobile operating system, a makeover by redesigning the phone's homescreen and its icons, making it look as though it belongs in the past. It is appropriately called iOS '86; everything is in black and white, edges of pixels are clearly visible and the classic Chicago bitmap font is present. It would definitely look great as a theme for iOS - now if only Apple would officially support themes on their iOS devices.
Ubergizmo, iOS gets an unofficial retro-makeover
