iOS 6.0.2 Causing iPhone 5, iPad Mini Battery To Rapidly Drain

iOS 6.0.2 Causing iPhone 5, iPad Mini Battery To Rapidly Drain

Apple released an update to iOS 6 geared directly towards the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini as both devices seem to have had issues with their Wi-Fi, or at least enough users reported an issue to warrant Apple release an update. But it seems just two days later, users are reporting the batteries on their iPhone 5 and iPad Mini have been draining more rapidly than before. Searching for the term “iOS 6.0.2 battery” in Twitter has resulted in a large amount of tweets from iPhone 5 and/or iPad Mini users complaining of the drain on their battery.

Focusrite iTrack Solo microphone and instrument interface for iPad, Mac, and PC

Focusrite iTrack Solo microphone and instrument interface for iPad, Mac, and PC

Most of the instrument interfaces for connecting an instrument to a computer or iPad that we've looked at on the Gadgeteer require the instrument to have a 1x4″ phono plug or a USB port (or adapter, like the Apple Camera Connection kit).  They work great, except when you have instruments or mics with different connectors.  The iTrack Solo from Focusrite, a British maker of pro-audio equipment, uses the connectors found in studios around the world.  It  has a microphone pre-amp and lets you attach a high-quality, professional microphone and has a second input for an instrument like a guitar, bass, or electro-acoustic guitar.

Microsoft reportedly delaying Lumia 920 handset for their employees, gives priority to customers

Developers are working on games… but the current selection is very limited. As we had reported earlier, word on the street has it that the popularity of the Nokia Lumia 920 is not only because of the device's specs and features, but also because Nokia is unable to produce enough units to keep up with the demand. Now if you recall, a while back Microsoft revealed that they would be giving their employees a Windows Phone handset of their choice, but as you can imagine due to the shortages of Lumia 920 units, Microsoft has reportedly delayed handing out Lumia 920s to their employees, instead opting to leave units available for customers.

RIM, Netflix And Electronic Arts Fall Out Of Nasdaq 100

RIM, Netflix And Electronic Arts Fall Out Of Nasdaq 100

The Nasdaq 100 that is the US index of top performing non-financial companies has decided to give the boot to RIM, Netflix and Electronic Arts, considering how the three companies' fortunes did not perform as expected, but rather, decided to plummet along the way. Facebook, however, managed to squeeze its way onto the list. This would not come as much surprise for RIM, considering how their problems are well documented, but the company does seem to have a pretty decent comeback plan that has garnered its fair share of interest in the form of BlackBerry 10, a new OS with plans for new hardware rolling out as well.

Yes, you can now view indoor photos of stores right from the search results by clicking the newly-added ‘See Inside' button, as you can see above. Hitting the said button will take you into the indoor imagery on Google Maps.
