Oregon Trail: American Settler for Android Now Available

Oregon Trail: American Settler for Android Now Available

GameLoft has finally released Oregon Trail: American Settlers to the Android market. The classic franchise has seen many different iterations and this latest one from GameLoft is actually quite fun and changes the way you trek across the plains of the world. You still get your oxen and carriage alongside a handful of people that you have to take care of, but American Settler shows us the side that other games didn't show – the travelers actually getting settled somewhere and building a town.

Brand New Retro: Yamaha's THR Amps Pack High Tech Into Old-Style Boxes

The THR5 has old-school looks and high-tech innards. I've always loved the look of classic guitar amps, from the signature criss-cross speaker grilles of Vox through the classic Marshall stack to the old Fenders which look like your grandmother's radio. And now Yamaha's new THR range adds high-tech to arguably one of the best looking case-designs around.
There are two amps, the THR5 and the THR10, and both are tiny, resembling the head unit of a stack more than a full combo.

Mega Man X now on iOS

Mega Man X now on iOS

How many of you remember the days of playing Mega Man X on your MS-DOS computers. I sure do, and if you're a sucker for nostalgia, Capcom has got something just for you. The company announced yesterday that Mega Man X, the first game in the Mega Man X series, is now available on iOS devices. The classic 2D action-platformer that had gamers ripping out their hair in frustration trying to figure out the weaknesses of all the different bosses can now be relived on modern hardware.

Personal Widescreen Movie Theater Eyewear

Personal Widescreen Movie Theater Eyewear

It is now possible for people to have their entertainment choices made available right in the palm of their hands. Smartphones and other similar devices have become a popular multimedia center that people usually use to be entertained. But as these small devices further shrink, videos stored in them may not usually be able to provide users with that widescreen movie theater experience. This Personal Widescreen Movie Theater Eyewear aims to change that.
The Personal Widescreen Movie Theater Eyewear allows users to have that movie theater experience right in front of their eyes, literally.

OnStar ready to flaunt LTE Skype-enabled system on GM rides

Last year at CES, OnStar wasn't too shy about teasing its partnership with Verizon that would assist in bringing applications like YouTube, Wikipedia and Skype to your vehicle. At that point, though, it was just an idea. Fast forward to next year's iteration of the Consumer Electronics Show and that's turned into a reality. It's safe to say that Skyping-and-driving wouldn't be the best of ideas, but fortunately the system will keep you from making that mistake by only running when your car is immobile - so don't make any plans to call your friends to tell them how fast you're going.
