Apple Patents Retail Packaging System

Apple Patents Retail Packaging System

Patents seem to be the new "ammunition" that companies hoard, as you can make quite a hefty amount through the courts when you have the right patents and others infringe on it, knowingly or otherwise. Well, Apple has its fair share of patents under lock and key, and today, the US Patent & Trademark Office published an Apple patent application that depicts what could very well be a new retail packaging system. This particular system was meant to offer an Apple Store customer with the choice of customizing an iDevice's content even when it remains nicely stashed away in the original packaging.

Ventura Farms Inaugural Concours Invitational doesn't disappoint

Ventura Farms Inaugural Concours Invitational doesn't disappoint

Countless vintage automobile events are held all around the world on any given day, but few are able to match the caliber of exclusive machinery displayed at the Ventura Farms Inaugural Concours Invitational. The event, held last month on the private 2,200-acre ranch estate of billionaire David H. Murdock (the Chairman and CEO of Dole and Castle and Cooke) just north of Los Angeles, CA, offered guests a look at dozens of classic automobiles set among beautifully manicured gardens, ponds and Thai sculptural boulders mined from the River Kwai in Thailand.

Seagate Does 4TB Hard Drive With Four 1TB Platters

In our culture and society these days, it seems that there is a growing obsession with being first. First in class, first on the grid, first in line to get the new iPhone…the list is practically endless when you think about it. Well, Seagate, a company that is well known in churning out storage solutions and manufactures hard drives as their bread and butter, has achieved another industry's first with their new 4TB hard drive. This 4TB hard drive might not seem like much at first, but the fact that it makes use of a quartet of 1TB platters makes it special.

Phinergy Air Car Concept

Phinergy Air Car Concept

Everyone wants to be green and eco-friendly these days, and this is a good phase to go through, preferably when it ends up being a kind of lifestyle, too. Phinergy, a company that is based in Israel, is developing a new kind of electric vehicle that would definitely make rides like the Nissan Leaf look archaic, and I am not talking about just in terms of design, but more importantly, technology, too.

T-Mobile's New iOS Update Opens Up LTE For Unlocked iPhone Subscribers

T-Mobile's New iOS Update Opens Up LTE For Unlocked iPhone Subscribers

T-Mobile now finally gets the iPhone, it launches the flagship Apple smartphone on April 12th. Previously users who had unlocked their carrier locked iPhones, or those who simply had a factory unlocked one, were able to connect to T-Mobile's HSPA+ network. T-Mobile has officially rolled out its 4G LTE network and it would be a shame if unlocked iPhone users were not able to connect to it. There's word going around that T-Mobile will be releasing an iOS firmware update for unlocked iPhone subscribers on April 5th. This update will allow access to AWS spectrum bands, which is geek talk for unadulterated access to the carrier's LTE network.
