Car Seat Device Alarms Sleepy Drivers

Car Seat Device Alarms Sleepy Drivers

Here is another interesting car seat device from Japan. Juki has developed the Sleep Buster that can be mounted on a car seat and triggers an alarm when the driver is about to sleep while driving. Sleep Buster uses a built-in sensor that measures signals from the heart and aorta. The device has a piece of software called “Human Tachometer” that visualizes the conditions of the driver on a controller.

DC Design previews India's first supercar

Think "supercar" and only a handful of countries are likely to come to mind. And most of them are in Europe: Italy, Great Britain, Germany. even Sweden and France have pitched in here and there with such notables as Koenigsegg and Bugatti. Consider examples like the Dodge Viper, Ford GT and Corvette ZR1 and you can deal America in on the action, and with vehicles like the Acura NSX, Nissan GT-R and Lexus LFA, Japan has lent its hand, too. But India?

The populous subcontinent may not be the first that comes to mind, but DC Design is eager to change that.

Meizu MX Launch Draws Crowds in China

Meizu MX Launch Draws Crowds in China

Meizu’s lineup of Android phones is a pretty big deal in China, and while not drawing the same crowds as the M9, the newly released Meizu MX still saw quite the turnout for its New Year’s Day launch. The smaller mob can be attributed to tighter local security and Meizu’s own efforts to cut down on folks waiting in line. Customers were asked to refrain from lining up outside of stores until they received a phone call and Meizu even offered an expenses-paid hotel stay for the first person to show up. That offer was turned down.
The launch of the MX comes with some slightly tweaked specs.

Give your feet space to live freely under your desk, with the Plug Hub. Sitting at your desk. Try wiggling your feet. At the very best, you will have snagged a toe on at least one stray power cable snaking around under there. At the very worst, you are now cursing my name because you just yanked the mains cable from your computer. Sorry.

Thankfully, there is a solution. It's called the Plug Hub, and it comes from the design-by-comittee (but in a good way) company, Quirky. The Plug Hub, invented by one Jared Joyce of Montana, is a box to tackle tangles.

Samsung Core trademark filed

Samsung Core trademark filed

According to a recent trademark filing from Samsung, the Korean electronics manufacturer will have a new device named “Samsung Core” in the future. Other than the name and the possible products that will be using the name - mobile phones, smartphones and tablet computers we don't have any details. This is also the first time we've heard any mention of the name Samsung Core so we're pretty curious to what it could be. With a whole bevy of quad-core devices that will be released in 2012, we wouldn't be surprised if the Core turns out to be one of them. Stay tuned for more details.
